Jesse — Owner/Director
Jesse opened Honey Tree Learning Center in 2014 with the intentions of being able to provide affordable, high quality child care to residents of the Seacoast area. Jesse graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 with an Associates of Applied Science in Community Service and Leadership, in 2008 Jesse graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Family Studies with a specialization in young children. While at UNH Jesse studied Reggio Emilia which influenced her philosophy behind Honey Tree. Jesse lives in Exeter and is an avid photographer.
Jamie — Assistant Director/Registrar
Jamie helped Jesse create what is Honey Tree Learning Center. With Jamie’s expertise in marketing, classroom environments and curriculum planning, Jamie worked extensively with Jesse to open Honey Tree’s doors during the summer of 2014. Jamie holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and enjoys teaching children of all ages. Jamie lives in Barrington with her husband and two teenage daughters.
Jordan — After School Program Coordinator/Assistant Pre-K Teacher
Jordan joined the Honey Tree team in September of 2014. Jordan is working towards his Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as in administration. Jordan enjoys working with the Pre-K and school age children and can often be found rolling down the hill or running with the children in our backyard. Jordan lives in Dover enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Jenna — Lead Infant Teacher
Jenna has been working with young children since she was in high school. From there, Jenna earned her Associates Degree from Hesser College in Business Administration with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She had been working full-time in the early childhood education field but took a few years off to stay at home and raise her daughter. Jenna lives in North Berwick, ME with her husband and two children.
Mikah — Assistant Infant Teacher/Floater
Mikah joined the Honey Tree team in November of 2014. Mikah graduated from Hesser College in 2013 as a Certified Medical Assistant. Mikah is currently enrolled in courses for a double certification in Elementary and Special Education at Great Bay Community College with the goal of becoming a full time teacher.
Pamela — Lead Toddler Teacher
Pamela has been working with Toddlers for the past 7 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Pamela’s goal is to continue on with her education and obtain a Master’s Degree in Education. Pamela lives in Somersworth with her fiancée and two daughters. Pamela and her family love to spend time as a family and really enjoy being outdoors.
Jacqueline — Assistant Toddler Teacher
Jacqueline attended York County Community College for Early Childhood Education. Jacqueline has been teaching full-time for the past two and a half years. She lives in Lebanon, ME with her boyfriend. Jacqueline loves working with children because it is fun, rewarding and because she learns something new every day!
Suzy — Lead Preschool Teacher
Suzy grew up in York, ME and has been living in Dover for about three years. Suzy has been working full-time in early child care for seven years with children ranging in age from 15 months to 5 years. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010. Suzy believes that children learn best in an environment that is nurturing, safe, fun, developmentally appropriate and encourages growth and independence.
Shante — Assistant Preschool Teacher
Shante has been involved in childcare for the last 18 1/2 years ranging from as young as 2 years 9 months to early stages of adulthood. Shante has had the opportunity to be a Preschool Assistant teacher, a Residential Supervisor working with high-at-risk children with behavioral and emotional issues, as well as a Before and After School Director. Shante is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She enjoys working with children on all levels of understanding and learning.
Danielle — Lead Pre-K Teacher
Danielle joined the Honey Tree team in September of 2014. Danielle came to Honey Tree with eight years of experience in the early childhood field. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and will be earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in February of 2015. Danielle lives in North Berwick, ME with her husband and two daughters.
